My early career consisted of flattering (mostly) interviews with rock stars and detailing the pluses and minuses (mostly pluses) of visiting exotic travel destinations for New York Newsday. For a time I delved into the machinations of the auto industry for Advertising Age and later found my way into the freelance world, performing acts of feature magic for the now-defunct "Wheels" component of The New York Times.
